Save yourself

I'm hanging off a sea stack in a storm, I slip, and the hand that reaches down to pull me up is mine. Both men in this film are me. Here is how I built the two looks, the location and every generation, so you can make your own version. Everything was generated with Seedance 2.5 in TopView.

How to use

  1. Step 1: make two lookbooks of yourself from the same face photos: one in white, one in black.
  2. Step 2: generate the sea stack, or swap in your own location.
  3. Step 3: run the four generations in order. Add the listed images as Omni References and type @ wherever the prompt says [tag … here]. Generations 3 and 4 use Video Extend on the clip before, so the action carries straight on.

Step 1. Two lookbooks, one face

Both characters are you. Each lookbook is a three-card sheet built from the same two photos of your face plus an outfit, and it is your Omni Reference in every shot that character is in.

  • Use a sharp, evenly lit front photo and side profile. No hat, no glasses, nothing over your face.
  • Make both lookbooks with the same layout so the model reads them as the same man.
  • Check the close-up panel against your real face before you use it. Every shot inherits it.

Step 2. The location

One image of the sea stack, used in every generation. A flat summit matters: that's where the rescue lands.

Step 3. Generations

  • Each generation holds several shots. Cut them apart and trim in your edit.
  • Turn on Draft Mode (480p) while you test, upgrade the take you like to 1080p, then run Video Extend from the upgraded clip.
  • Expect 2 to 4 runs per generation. Every run is a different take.
